AzTA Membership

The Arizona Trauma Association (AzTA) advocates for and coordinates statewide programs and policies that optimize the trauma care system and ultimately improve patient care by encouraging communication and contributions by the entire trauma community.


Membership Categories

Organizational Membership 

This membership is intended for any trauma center in Arizona and will extend to ALL its providers involved in trauma care, including without limitation, its directors, physicians, nurses, and technicians. This Organizational Membership is intended to minimize the individual burden to all the various providers that participate in trauma care at each Center and open the benefits of AzTA to these individuals under the umbrella of the organization.

Individual Membership

This membership is intended for any individual who is an Physician, Resident, Fellow, RN, APP, EMT.


Membership Benefits

Organizational Membership to the Trauma Center

  • Have a voice in determining the shape of trauma care in Arizona by being part of a dynamic collaborative
  • Network with other trauma providers in AZ
  • Receive AzTA’s educational newsletter
  • Participate in statewide prevention and advocacy activities such as Stop the Bleed trainings and Tackle Trauma events
  • Encourage community participation for all trauma providers at the Center
  • Secure a member rate for various AzTA-supported national trauma-related courses (E.g. in 2019-2021 we sponsored a Trauma Registrar Course on AIS and Injury Scaling)
  • Participate in the Southwest Trauma and Acute Care Symposium (STACS) and ensure member rates for all its providers, including a referral code for one free admission
  • Promote your Center by becoming an exhibitor at STACS, free for members
  • Receive assistance in American College of Surgeons Review
  • Qualify to serve on Arizona Trauma Center Board, further shaping AZ’s trauma community

Individual Membership

  • Have a voice in determining the shape of trauma care in Arizona
  • Network with other Arizona Trauma Providers and become active part of the Trauma community
  • Receive AzTA’s educational newsletter
  • Participate in statewide prevention and advocacy activities such as Stop the Bleed trainings and events
  • Secure a member rate for various AzTA-supported national trauma related courses
  • Participate in the Southwest Trauma and Acute Care Symposium (STACS)
  • Qualify to serve on Arizona Trauma Center Board, further shaping Arizona’s Trauma community.

    About Arizona Trauma

    The Arizona Trauma Association (AzTA) was started by a group of surgeons in 2007 to improve the delivery of health care to injured patients throughout the state of Arizona by supporting collaborative research, education and outreach activities of trauma centers in the state of Arizona.
