Traumatic injury is the leading cause of death for all children and adults until age 44. Whether it is a car accident or a fall from a ladder, countless people and families are affected by trauma. Treatment of life-threatening injuries at a high level trauma center can lower the risk of death by 25%. Unfortunately, nearly 45 million Americans do not have access to this specialized care.
