Dr. Bellal Joseph presented Blood in the Brain: When to Call Neurosurgery at the 11th annual Southwest Trauma & Acute Care Symposium on Thursday, November 14, 2019. He discusses dilemmas in non-operative management of TBI, protocols for mild TBI, and results of implementing Brain Injury Guidelines (BIG) within his trauma center. Dr. Joseph is a Professor of Surgery and the Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at the University of Arizona – Tucson. He is also the Medical Director of the Southern Arizona Telemedicine and Telepresence (SATT) program .
